    No. UFO stuff has been a theme for a long long time
    Old Germanic drawings show a town cowering at the site of a saucer with humanoid figures inside. Centuries before any science fiction lol

    well given that ufos have been seen in the earth's skies for literally thousands of years it goes without saying that science fiction writing...a relatively modern creation...could not have inspired ufo sightings....
