UFO Sighting Associated With Dead Birds? - Gather.com

is very clear and very specific. I've shown it to other people and some people have suggested it might be an unusual cloud formation, but the perimeter is very clear and I don't think that's the case.

"What's really strange is that the day Calum took this picture I discovered about ten dead birds in my garden, the back and the front. They were sparrows and blackbirds. It could just be a co-incidence but the discovery of dead birds is associated with sightings of

Lost Civilisations: Mesopotamia

The great civilizations of Sumer, Babylonia, and Assyria are covered in this episode. Throughout the episode, we continue with the question of how Mesopotamia was related to biblical stories. We get a nice comparison between the myths of ancient Mesopotamia and the bible. More in depth, we focus on a discovery in the site of Kumran in Israel, the Dead Sea Scrolls, which include some of the earliest versions of the Old Testament. The ties with Biblical Archeology and Mesopotamia is evident when we view how these earlier archeologists wanted to prove the existence of places mentioned in the bible. The discovery of the Moabite Stone was among the earliest finds that confirmed the existence of place names mentioned in the bible and this kind of discovery eventually lead archeologists to the Middle East in droves in the late 1800s and early 1900s, and led to Iraq. Present day Iraq is the home to the bulk of the civilizations that made up ancient Mesopotamia. We next move to Babylonia, whose capital was Babylon. The site was excavated in the 1800s and was yet another confirmation of Biblical Archeology. The ties here have to do with the "babylonian captivity" of the Israelites by Nebuchadnezzer. The film then moves on the to the discovery of the Assyrians ancient capital of Ninevah. Finally, we end up at the most ancient site of ancient Mesopotamia, the civilization of Sumer, about 3000 BC. It is here that the episode attempts to tie in the concept of an ancient "garden of eden ...

Why do many people dismiss "chemtrails" as a crazy conspiracy when there's historic events events like these?

Question by dumdum: Why do many people dismiss "chemtrails" as a crazy conspiracy when there's historic events events like these?
The spraying from planes of toxic CADMIUM over England--without people's knowledge! And the government waited for years and carefully documented cases of cancer deaths and made maps of the cancer cluster in that area--which was much higher than the national average.

With cases like these, why do many still assume that this could never happen again?
Cody The Conservative: I don't think it's a waste of time because the more people who know, the more people will be united and can have more power to change things. If it's only a few people, they can continue to ignore the complaints and concerns by saying it's just a "conspiracy theory."

Giant Gang Member Tries To Kidnap Little Boy

Victor Joseph Espinoza, a 425-pound gang member with an equally large rap sheet, is a accused of attempting to kidnap a 10-year-old boy on his way to soccer practice Friday evening, KABC reports.

Police in Santa Ana, Calif., said that Espinoza, 55, allegedly approached the boy and his 19-year-old cousin as they were walking to a local park. Espinoza grabbed the boy by both arms and pulled him close to his body. The boy managed to break free after a struggle, and ran to alert his soccer coach, who went looking for Espinoza.

"The little boy came crying at me, saying that man wanted to take him. He said that he grabbed him and he started smelling him," the coach, who wished to remain anonymous, told ABC Los Angeles. "I'm a parent, I worry about my kids, and I thought that I had to do something."

According to CBS Los Angeles, the coach found Espinoza by a bike trail, confronted him, and attempted to restrain him, but the suspect escaped.

In infrared footage from a police helicopter, Espinoza can be seen crouching under a tree in the backyard of a nearby home shortly before police arrest him.

KCAL reported that the abduction attempt happened in a well-lit park with many parents and soccer players around, and that Espinoza had attempted to abduct another child, a girl, earlier that evening. She also got away.

Santa Ana police office Antony Bertagna described Espinoza to ABC News as an "old school, old time gangster" with more than 60 prior arrests over 30 years. Some of Espinoza's prior arrests include drug possession, assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder, according to Bertagna.

Espinoza is being held on $ 100,000 bail, and faces charges of false imprisonment, child annoyance, and added charges since he is a known gang member.

On-Going UFO Sightings in Otway, NC - Sep. 21, 2012

sheilaaliens.net "The unidentified flying object was sighted Tuesday and Wednesday night over Otway, which is near Beaufort in Carteret County. Witnesses describe the object as six orange glowing lights that rotate into a V-shape, then slowly disappear. "It was six lights in a straight line (that were) above everything else," Otway resident Jonathon Willis said. Willis said his friends first spotted the object Tuesday. "I didn't really believe it at first, but last night proved me wrong," Willis said. "Something is out there." According to base officials at MCAS Cherry Point, MAW squadrons participate in night flights that sometimes involve illumination exercises. The training includes slow moving flares that could appear to "hover" as they glide down, First Lt. Hector Alejandro wrote in an e-mail to Newschannel 12. Alejandro said the training is performed on ranges, but could be seen from areas as far as Otway. Despite the explanation, some residents still attribute the sightings to extraterrestrial life." Q&A: What exactly are "chemtrails" ?? Because I saw it yesterday!?

Question by Donnie Anderson: What exactly are "chemtrails" ?? Because I saw it yesterday!?
I've heard of something called the chemtrail phenomenon thats some how associated with the UFO phenomenon. Anyways, I never got to read up exactly what they are but planes flying in the sky leaving a trail of something behind it and no I'm not talking about jets. Jets have a trail but its small and goes away fast so its fairly short behind the jet flying. The chemtrail thing is the planes fly and leave it behind and it stretches all the way across the sky in a straight line. Anyways, can anyone explain further? and what does it have to do with UFOs?

VERY Bad Cop: Sergeant Gets In Trouble Over Racy Photos

She was not in uniform when she committed the offense.

Stacey Suro, 42, has been relieved of her duty as a sergeant with the Houston Police Department after officials discovered an assortment of risque photos Suro had allegedly posted online, KPRC reports.

Suro had over 100 photos of herself on her Model Mayhem page, some featuring her in revealing outfits and others showing her nude. Some of the photographs involved fetish and bondage content, according to the network's website.

Until the investigation is complete, the department cannot say whether or not Suro will be fired.

Click here to investigate the photos yourself.

Suro is not the first woman whose sex appeal has caused her grief at work.

In July, ex-porn star Harmony Rose came under fire for her previous career when she began training as an EMT.

The month before, former FBI administrative specialist Erika Bonilla filed a lawsuit against the agency, saying she was discriminated, in part, because "several co-workers were jealous of her appearance."

Q&A: What are some atheist perspectives on hauntings?

What are some atheist perspectives on hauntings?Question by Mark: What are some atheist perspectives on hauntings?
As a Catholic Christian I have my own opinions and theories about hauntings; that is, the seeming presence of some kind of echo or intelligent existence of a deceased person or persons who are able to interact with the living.

While I fully realize that atheists do not believe in a deity and largely do not believe in an afterlife, do any of you have beliefs about ghosts, haunted locations, etc?

Some have described "hauntings" as nothing more than some kind of electromagnetic recording within a building or area that "plays back" kinetic effects, as if the building itself functioned like a gigantic video or audio recording device. Others believe that, as the human mind operates on bioelectric energy, that some aspects of our existence are embedded into a location.

Of course, some atheists may very well believe that the spirits (or the animated intellect, or whatever you'd like to refer to it as) of the dead can exist in an environment and interact with the living. I honestly don't know, ergo my question.

I myself do believe in the presence of spirits and the manifestation of those who are no longer physically alive. I believe that they exist as a part of God's overall plan, or that they may be a reflection of the brokenness of the world due to the Original Sin of Adam. I know many of my Christian brethren have different opinions on this, but I've never heard what the atheists among us think.

And please, if you're just going to say "it's stupid to even ask" or "I haunted your mom last night" or some other pathetic attempt at humor save it. This is a question for mature people of different belief systems.

UFO Files - Alien Abductions: The Evidence - Part 1 of 5

An investigation of the 'alien abduction' phenomena. Over a million people have reported being victims of so-called alien abductions, UFO visitations, missing time and other related events. Some even claim to have had physical implants inserted in them by the extra terrestrials. Some say it's a sinister plot to colonize and secretly breed with the human race by beings from another world, while others say it's really a covert government 'mind control' program which uses aliens and UFO's as convenient cover. Or maybe it's just a distinctly human condition, a paranoia or mental illness, as the skeptics claim. One thing is for sure, for millions of people around the world, alien abductions are as real as it gets. We talk to the victims, the witnesses, the scientists, the believers and the skeptics, to try and get to the bottom of the mystery. We analyze the 'implants', we visit the 'support groups' and we test the 'abductees' with a Polygraph 'lie detector' test. An in depth investigation of a fascinating phenomena.
