Can The Crop Of The Future Be Found?

In order to understand what this theory really means, it is sufficient to follow both the traditional and current methods: plantations treated with synthetic substances (against biologic agents which attack culture plants), growth simulators, modified seeds, more resistant to fruit treatment for a better storage resistance and traditional culture with low quantity products.


As one can simply notice, all these have obviously react on the large scale health, in a way or another: those who got away easily had better conditions to diversify the alimentation or used different medication, supplements which attenuated the effect of that particular substances or they were helped by the genetic fond. Obviously, nowadays there is no hope for a better situation, the trends being of genetic seeds "strengthen" and acceleration of plant growth in order to supplement the demand with products which seems unaltered.

But we all sense the reverse, which can affect our metabolic control senses and body development: endocrine glands, with the increase of severe conditions as diabetes, cancer, senile dementia - Alzheimer with premature death.

Culture technology is relatively correct: for a certain number of years, a terrain must be planted with another crop - technique called crop rotation, which has the role to prevent the fast absorption of some soil substitute by a certain crop and also to destroy some specific biologic agents which consequently have no time to develop. In reality, the crop rotation technique is extremely difficult as it can not be precisely established which crop should be the next and the costs of changing to on microeconomic level are high in an area with low development degree.


Have you ever considered there would be something much simpler which can change completely the crop treating methods and which would also imply benefits? The answer is definitely positive, as many attempts were performed within the developed countries, reaching currently the ecologic crops.

These crops are not treated with chemical agents and are present in minimum pollution areas. Unfortunately, the current reality illustrates that these crops can be present only in unpolluted areas (very rare) and the benefits are not high, as the losses due to organisms which attack those plantations are numerous (in lack of chemical prevention). Likewise, the fruits alter more rapidly, not being covered by chemical substances.

In the current conception, the solution cannot be on large term a biologic crop.
Which can be the solution for the situation applicable at reduced costs even within the sub developed countries!? The answer is simpler than it seems: the ecosystem.


Crop ecosystem


Ecosystem denomination represents itself a biologic environment where all the biologic components are in harmony, in an unaltered, natural environment.


Here, all takes place in a form which belongs to the natural way of universe organization, ecological for the human part, where there are no elements given by the human destructive interference. This is the real ecological concept.


Still, from theory to practice, there is an apparently difficult road, but for the purpose of this crop model, there is an element not used up to present: habitual birds.


The birds represent the only real possibility to completely change the crop organization, which would create an ecologic environment without vast scientific and financial interventions. The answer is given by their capacity to exterminate the predators of large scale crops, without affecting the plantation. Well, you might say there are predators which barely appear, being to small or underground animals; so if you eliminate from the circuit a necessary intermediary chain link, as predators of surface crops - the favorite food for habitual birds - you will notice how the small predators also begin to disappear, which need the support of the others to develop in a large number.


Example:


French farmers built an artificial micro cave for bats, which led to a substantial profit increase after the appearance of these colonies.


We can continue in order to achieve spectacular results. The birds will not be present in any crop if they don't dispose of what they naturally need to shelter: trees. In this way, a culture can be mixed, having at certain distances row of fruit trees which will thus bring benefits. The benefits brought by fruit trees cultivation largely overpass the loss of a meter from the cultivated terrain, the crossed pollination does not intervene and the crop rotation can be performed without any loss! What can be best than no investment in health hazardous substances, also a stable revenue - the fruits emerge almost with no investment and the culture becoming ecological?


There is also another aspect that can be essential for a crop: water presence in the soil. During certain periods, lack of water can finally compromise a crop leading to irreparable losses in that particular year. The trees present in rows at well established distances maintain the water into soil for a long term, thus avoiding the risk of torrid period and reducing the investment in irrigation systems.


Example: Mixed plantation with rows of fruit trees. These maintain the water into soil, insure shadow areas and attract the habitual birds which maintain the crop by destroying the crop harmful agents.


There can be imagined helpful methods for different cultures: example the vine, which needs protection from rain and sun light, by dragging between the plastic foil intermediary pillars a kind of roof which wouldn't allow rain to drop directly on the plant, improving the crop (at this point, the author does not consider it a major problem).


Reminder: the human being would not be able to defeat by chemical methods the crop destructive agents, instead he will self destroy though secondary effects. Let's turn to the natural source capable of doing this.
