Q&A: Why people believe in so many ridiculous things like UFOS...?

Question by Bruno: Why people believe in so many ridiculous things like UFOS...?
Satanism, Wicca, Zombies, "flat earth", "Loch Ness monsters" and other ridiculous and absurd things? "Zombies", for instance, are really brain damaged individuals who walks in "trance". No "voodoo" stuff here. Balony. Not only they believe in these nonsense but are "hurt" and "outraged" when somebody points that out. Even my recent message attacking "Satanism" was dropped. If you are going to believe in that, also believe in "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" of Disney. Feedback, please.
I think I saw something strange on the sjy as a kid. But I assume it as a meteological balloon. Not a UFO with Mr. Spock and Dr. Smith aboard.
Close minded? I am no scientist but I bet at MIT many science students will laugh at you. In case somebody from MIT is reading this. Anyway I will recomend you a book: "The Demon Haunted World" by Carl Sagan. He's dead. What was his profession: astronomer.
And that includes ghosts and "poltergeist" my cynicism.
Me no sense of humor and imagination? I love to watch fantasy films like the classic "Wizard of Oz". And I love to watch the Mack Sennet's silent comedies of "Keystone Cops" plus "The Three Stooges" classic shorts and laugh.
From Haiti comes many stories of "zombies". They said there were "dead walking". But according to some investigators they were really people who had their brain damaged with some housemade drug.
I am an agnostic. But definetely I don't believe in any "pseudoscience" nor "pseudoreligion". They are all bunk for me. I can understand established religious beliefs even when I don't go to any church and temple. But "astrology"? Give me a break!
"Doctor Smith" [Jonatha Harris] from the 1960s cult science fiction tv show "Lost in Space". Mr Spock we all know, Doesn't need introduction.
If there is "something big and strange" in the Loch Ness of Scotland, how come they haven't captured it yet? Is all phony balony.
