Q&A: Am I the only one that sees that the "chupacabra" in Texas is TOTALLY a Mexican Hairless Dog?

Question by hello: Am I the only one that sees that the "chupacabra" in Texas is TOTALLY a Mexican Hairless Dog?
It freakin' looks just like this! http://www.buriedmirror.com/latest/2007/05/27/xoloitzcuintles/

The head only looks so big because she took most of the neck with it. Ew.
Read it and weep, y'all.

"The breed ranges in size from about 10 pounds/4 kg to 51 pounds/20 kg"

  2. i saw the head of the one the woman had in Texas. It was a very big head. The Mexican hairless is a small dog, a little larger than a chihuahua.

  3. Man, people are SOO ignorant.
Yes. it definitely a hairless, either Mexican Hairless, or Hairless Rat Terrier, but either way, it's a dog.

  4. the chupa has a big head -- its like a pit/mexican hairless mutant mix or something. they are supposed to be doing dna testing on it -- i don't know if you can determine breeds by that though.

  5. its definatly a hirelss terrier of some kind, the picture kind of screws the perpective, that animals only about 15lbs, the average size of most hairless breeds.

  6. Yeah, I saw those photos and thought it looked like the corpse of any number of mixed breed stray dog, perhaps blackened by dying of skin disorder or just from being dead and a dark skinned dog. The teeth looked blunted and there was no mention of the canine teeth being hollow for blood sucking, lol.
Looked like dog that broke a canine tip in any manner of possible ways (breaking into chicken coops, chewing on bones..) Certainly didn't look anymore lke a mythical "chupacabra" than the actual corpse of a large and ugly human being would look like a Yeti.

  8. I remember another photo that was posted of a "mystery animal" that looked to me an awful lot like a shaved-down chow chow.

  9. The Xolo or Mexican Hairless comes in three sizes and the largest one is a pretty good sized dog. I believe what this woman found is the larger sized Xolo's, it looks just like them.

  10. It's too big to be a Mex. Hairless. I wonder if it isn't suffering from a sort of mange- this is, after all, a feral dog and would have all sorts of parasites on it. As to what breed mix it actually is- God only knows. It has a head kind of like a hyena- I would have liked to see the whole body.

  11. A hairless is about the size of a chihuahua. Very small. That creature is about the size of a large breed dog. I'm guessing a dog with mange more than a hairless breed. Could be wrong. Supposedly she's getting DNA tests done on it to find out.

*added* If you are looking for full body photos, CNN has some and there are others kicking around on yahoo.
